Lawrence "Scooter" Devin

Bio: Scooter was born July, 11th 1973 to Bob and Lorain Devin. The son of an industrial electrician and a seamstress, Scooter showed a high aptitude at an early age. At age 5 he learned how to rewire an outlet properly after playing with one repeatedly. The shocks just never seemed to deter him. By the age of 7 he disassembled and upgraded his mother's favorite sewing machine in order to "punch the mother up to 11!". His dad couldn't have been prouder. That was until he amped it up again at age 11 and really outdid himself! It was the first sewing machine to be powered by a Chevy small-block. He called it the Sewinator 2000. His mom didn't know what to think. It would sew through damn near anything. And once the exhaust was vented properly, you could use it for more than 10 seconds without choking. She then just asked that he never touch any of her stuff ever again.

Scooter grew up lower-middle class to two hard working parents. His grades were great, until middle school. They were usually great unless he got distracted by girls, pot or music. He still managed to get top of his class. He even wanted to go to college and what college he wanted to attend was - M.I.T. He just didn't know how to afford it. He knew how expensive it would be and that scholarships were a long shot. He applied anyway. A few months later he got accepted! He was thrill and so were his parents. He knew it was a pipe dream and knew he'd be either going to the local community college or trade school that Fall. That was, until his parents had a windfall! They never told Scooter where the money came from, only that they won enough to cover his education! He was ecstatic!

Scooter excelled at M.I.T., earning his bachelors with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Civil Engineering. He then went on to get two Masters degrees, one in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science program and one in the Mechanical Engineering program. He finally received his Doctorate in Computational Science and Engineering program. After 9 years, he went all the way through and completed his PhD and was well on his way to making the world a much cooler, kick-ass place. All was right with the world. That was, until tragedy struck. That very next year, both his parents would be killed in a gruesome and horrible home invasion. This tragedy would send him over the edge and stagnate his potential academic career. He now lives above the Pop's Place Bar in St. Joesph, Missouri. He has an air of mystery about him and he doesn't talk about his past much or even really how he got into Hunting. He will though, admit that he's a better lover than a fighter and can serve better in the background assisting than on the front lines.
